When the installation generates an error in Crossover, choose "Cancel Installation." If you did choose "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" in Step 4, the patch 1.26a installation will fail as well.
I recommend choosing "My Mac Desktop" as the install location so that you can access it easily for a later step, and so you can delete the installer when you're finished, as it takes up most of a gigabyte. The Warcraft III installer will start to download.You do not need to choose "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" as the application to install in this step choosing "Other Application" is fine. Frustratingly, Warcraft III actually runs fine on Intel Macs.
